About Robin
Born in South East London in 1959, Robin graduated in 1980 with a BA(Hons)Law Degree from Liverpool (where he was also awarded the Sweet & Maxwell Law prize for the highest achieving student) before going on to complete the Law Society Finals Course at the College of Law in Chester the following year.
After moving South to Portsmouth, Robin completed two years of in house training as an Articled Clerk with one of the UK's leading Commercial and Private Client Law Firms duly qualifying as a Solicitor in 1983.
Robin went on to become one of the founders of The Keeler West Partnership and for many years was based at the Head Office along the Terraces in Southsea, acting not only for both Commercial and Private clients, negotiating and preparing contract documentation, undertaking property transactions and preparing Wills obtaining Probates and dealing with the Administration of Estates and Trusts but also for a number of Local Charities and Non-Profit making Organisations.
At this time due to an active interest in Business Management skills and Marketing theories in particular, coupled with a desire to grow and expand the Partnership, Robin signed on for a part time course at the University of Portsmouth achieving the award in 2000 of a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
Following the dissolution of The Keeler West Partnership, Robin joined forces with another Portsmouth Firm actively being involved and helping to spearhead its significant growth and expansion over an 8 year period, through the acquisition of and merger with other smaller practices, coupled with the establishment and opening of new Branch Offices.
During this period, Robin completed a distance learning course administered by the University of Cambridge achieving the award of a Diploma in Notarial Practice in 2006 and then being granted a Notarial Faculty and created a Public Notary in 2007 through the Offices of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
More recently Robin has qualified as a Member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters compliant with their Code of Conduct as approved by the Trading Standards Institute.
Whilst happily removed from the rigours and demands of partnership Robin continues to keep busy providing Notarial Services as a member of The Notaries Society and Will Writing Services as a Member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters, along with acting in a Consultancy capacity in the promotion of a variety of Non-Regulated Investment Plans and managing a number of Property Development Projects.
Away from his Desk, Robin has travelled extensively, including in recent years visiting South America , SE Asia and Australasia and likes to get out on a golf course whenever time allows.
